Van Tuijl
Van Tuijl is a family business that has been supplying agricultural and horticultural supplies for over 100 years. We have since developed into the leading producer and trading company in pots, trays and sticks. Our head office with production and storage facilities is located in Haaften. We also have a warehouse in Tuil for horticulture and one in Opheusden for tree nurseries. A total of around 25 people work for us. Van Tuijl distinguishes itself through product innovations with its own production, close customer relations, a large import network and short, informal lines of communication. We are now active in more than 40 countries worldwide. Our products are used from Canada to South Africa and from China to Brazil.
1923
It was Cornelis van Tuijl who started trading in animal feed, compost and potting soil in 1923. In the years that followed, we expanded the range further and further with supplies for growers.
1974
In 1974, we launched the first plastic flowerpot under our own label.
2001
In 2001, this led to our own injection moulding company Vatuplast with production in Haaften, Ede and Ochten. With Vatuplast, we supply a wide range of pots with a competitive price-quality ratio.
2011
Ten years later, in 2011, Vatusticks was established. Under this banner, we import and trade tonkin sticks and split bamboo, among others.
2019
Another innovative milestone is the EcoClicktray, as a sustainable alternative to plastic transport trays.
In 2019, we became an exclusive dealer of BCC FiberCell and launched the paperpot. It is a sustainable solution for growing young plants.
2023
With the jubilee in 2023, we gave Van Tuijl's logo, corporate identity and website a facelift so that we can continue with it for another 100 years.
